We’re excited to announce that the 2026 Oceania Challenge is now up and running! This event is open to everyone of all abilities and bow types! The Oceania Challenge is an online tournament, meaning that you shoot the round at the range and your best score will be pooled with scores from archers across Oceania for ranking!

What Round Do I Shoot?

There are 5 different round types in this event and the round you will shoot depends on your bow type and experience. All rounds are split into three sections at different distances. At each distance, every archer will shoot 5 ends of 6 arrows for a total of 30 arrows per distance, and 90 arrows for the whole round. The three distances you will shoot depends on your round.

Short Round – 40m, 30m, 20m

This round is for people of any bow type who have been in archery for 12 months or less or have never shot further than 40m.

Medium Round – 50m, 40m, 30m

This round is for people of any bow type who have been in archery for 12 months or less or have never shot further than 50m.

Barebow and Longbow Round – 50m, 40m, 30m

This round is for all barebow and longbow archers who have been in archery for more than 12 months.

Long Round – 60m, 50m, 40m

This round is for all recurve and compound archers who have been in archery for more than 12 months.

Para Round – Select round most appropriate round for your abilities (or for U21s, 40cm indoor face at 18m)

This round is for all para archers.

How Do I Participate?

There are rounds available to shoot at Canberra Archery Club on Sunday, during the club shoot, every weekend until the end of May. Registration is available on Archer’s Diary. To find the Oceania Challenge, make sure you have the club field set to ‘Archery ACT’, not ‘Canberra Archery Club’.  The password for every event on IScored.Today will be ‘oceania’. Make sure to register for the round that fits your experience and bow type, referring to the list above. Remember, you must be scoring with at least one other person to verify each other’s scores. You do not have to be shooting the same round to score together, but you may need to use different devices if the person you are scoring with is not shooting an Oceania Challenge round.

You can shoot your round as many times as you would like during the event period, during club shoots, meaning you could shoot every weekend if you so choose! Only one score may be submitted per archer. After you’ve finished shooting the events you want to shoot, submit your best score to the ACT state recorder at recorder@archeryact.asn.au.

For further detail, please see the official event documents below. If you need any further clarification, please reach out to the ACT state recorder.
