Youth National Championships 2024

The Easter Long weekend saw youth from all over Australia competing a variety of events Indoor, Field and Target It was held at the Tuggeranong Archery Club and clearly a great job by all the organisers and volunteers who made it possible. Congratulations to all the participants, our sport is in good hands and its future looks great. Members of the Canberra Archery Club who distinguished themselves Elke, Yee Lowe, Violet Scott, Jorja Bell, Eliza McGaw, Issac Jackson, Christopher Overall Individual Champions......

Female Barebow Recurve - Elke Yee - Archery ACT

Female Recurve - Gabrielle West - Archery SQAS

Female Compound - Liezel-Marie Roux - Archery SQAS

Male Barebow Recurve - Judah Homes - Archery Tasmania

Male Recurve - James Azli - ARCHERY South Australia (ARCHERY SA)

Male Compound - Ryan Bird - ARCHERY South Australia (ARCHERY SA)

Overall Compound Team - Archery New South Wales

Elke Yee - Gold in all disciplines, Overall Female Barebow Recurve Champion

Owen Bartosh - Gold in all disciplines

Violet Lowe - Gold in all disciplines

Caitlin Slack - Bronze Field

Christopher Jackson - Gold 900 Round (is currently competing in Turkey)

Lizzie Brew - Silver in Field, 720 Round & 900 Round, Bronze Indoor

Maia Wen - Silver Indoor

Nish Divi - Silver Indoor and 720 Round (first tournament ever)

Eliza Bell also competed in her first tournament (not just Nationals) ever, but was unable to finish the last day due to a shoulder injury.

Archery ACT also adopted Judah Holmes and Toby Chalk from Tasmania for the weekend as team members, they both performed extremely well.

Our Youth also broke a few records (all to be ratified):

Elke Yee broke the AA 30/720 & Field Championship Records and Junior Canberra Tournament Record, Violet Lowe established the WABB 50/720 Championship Record
